In conjunction with World Food Day1 on 16 Oct 2021, Azalea volunteered with two local non-profit organisations (NPOs) – Food from the Heart (FFTH) and The Food Bank Singapore – in their efforts to provide food support to families in need. FFTH and The Food Bank Singapore are NPOs that aim to promote food security in Singapore. On the same day, we adopted three food vending machines as part of The Food Bank Singapore’s The Food Pantry 2.0 initiative to make quality food accessible round the clock to beneficiaries in the heartlands.

Food waste is one of the biggest waste streams in Singapore2. In line with our commitment to contribute to our community, our team helped to sort and pack food donations, much of which otherwise could be wasted from manufacturers, distributors, retail stores and consumers, at The Food Bank Singapore’s warehouse. Our team also distributed food packs to the less fortunate as part of FFTH’s Community Food Pack programme.

We believe that every effort in promoting food security is crucial, and we are pleased to contribute to this cause through the meaningful volunteer opportunities with FFTH and The Food Bank Singapore.
